the adventure that we never wanted to have is over
About Dave
Dave was my 9 and a half year old rescue Boston Terrier. He was from a puppymill originally, and met none of the AKC standards for a Boston - he was tall and muscular, but had that Boston personality through and through.
Dave was diagnosed with stage Vb lymphosarcoma on January 29th, 2008. The prognosis, assuming chemo was successful, was nine months - October 2008. He quickly went into remission, and was a trooper through his five months of weekly chemo treatment. He remained in remission until September 22, 2008, when we were informed that the cancer had returned. We decided to treat with the combination of holistics, Prednisone and love, and he was given a two month prognosis. At that time, he was alive and well, and continued that way for many more months. Dave crossed the rainbow bridge on May 11th.
Dave is having a good week. We're not seeing the same reactions we did five weeks ago. He was hesitant to eat, but we added some chicken and rice to his kibble, and he was no longer hesitant!!
Dave is enjoying the sun at grammom's right now. The picture is a not-so-goood one from my cell phone, but you get the idea.
